6. What if I get ill?
Answer:
We have first-aid at the house however if there is an emergency an ambulance can be called to take you to the hospital in the city. There are however other doctors nearby also.
7. Can I use my mobile?
Answer:
Yes. We have Globe reception in the area and the cheapest way to call abroad is to buy a Globe sim card for your phone and these can be purchased in the city and are very cheap. And then all you need to do is top it up as you need it.
8. Will there be a language problem?
Answer:
No. All our staff speaks fluent English as do most educated people in the Philippines as English as there second language. All restaurants and shops will also speak English.
9. Currency?
Answer:
The currency used is the Philippine Peso. You can change your cash at the money changer where it is a better rate in Manila rather than the airport. There are several money changers in Puerto Princesa where the rate varies by only 1 peso difference. Travel cheques can be changed at banks however not all banks accept them and they can take time so it is better to change cash.
10. Shopping?
Answer:
There is a shopping mall in the city which sells everything called NCC. There are also local markets and shops which your driver can take you to. All items are a lot cheaper than home!
11. Restaurants?
Answer:
The best restaurants are in the city and of course there is the Vietnamese Village if you feel like a change.
12. Are pets allowed?
Answer:
Due to some of our guests refusing to follow a few simple pet rules, unfortunately pets are no longer allowed at Sunrise Mansion.
